Thomas Flynn
Digital Content Producer, Video Editor and Filmmaker
I am a British digital content producer, video editor, and filmmaker, with over 10 years of experience in delivering high-quality digital and broadcast content for global brands including Qantas and Disney in Australia, and BBC Studios and Universal Music in London. I’ve led productions from concept to delivery, directing crews, managing complex shoots, and producing engaging multi-platform campaigns, combining a strong creative direction with technical capability in editing, motion graphics and colour grading.
During my three years at Qantas, I produced, directed and edited a wide range of video content, including national campaigns and sports partnerships, whilst coordinating crews, stakeholders and post-production workflows.
I was particularly proud of a feature which I wrote, directed and delivered, for the Qantas Regional Grants campaign, ‘Talk About It Tuesday’, managing a five-person crew and complex logistics in a remote location in Cape York. Another highlight was producing a five-part branded content series for Qantas and Cricket Australia during the Ashes, delivering a coordinated social media campaign. I also made high-profile entertaining digital content, featuring the Socceroos and Matildas for Qantas and the two team’s social channels.
As a video editor and content producer at Disney, my work included creating a large-scale “Disney+ Day” advertising campaign, producing 36 broadcast and digital asset versions, including a broadcast slot during the AFL Grand Final halftime coverage.
I also designed and produced a national Disney+ television commercial featuring Marvel and Star Wars content, with custom motion graphics that were later adopted by the Disney team as a visual reference for subsequent campaigns. My role also included location work at Disney live events, such as live film premiers, as well as editing quick turnaround news channel packages on site and sizzle reels.
At BBC Studios, I created social media assets for some of their biggest brands including Top Gear, BBC Earth, and Dr Who. I’ve also edited quick turnaround live sports packages at IMG’s for international news clients.
Prior to that I built my own channel of 50 comedy travel episodes as I travelled across Asia in a team of two. We wrote, produced, shot, and presented short features on the go such as, joining a Shaolin Kung Fu school, being extras in a Bollywood film, and racing from China to Tokyo to get to the Rugby World Cup. These led to a production collaboration with the Unilad Adventure, Ladbible Group. who commissioned us to make our own comedy travel series of short features.
