I directed this documentary short in Cape York, over seven hours from the nearest city, telling the story of two mothers who lost their sons to suicide and went on to create Talk About It Tuesday, a community-led mental health initiative in remote Far North Queensland.

The film was shot on location with a small six-person crew, requiring a sensitive, documentary-led approach shaped by time, trust and proximity. Working closely with the contributors and local community, the production prioritised honesty and restraint, allowing conversations and environment to drive the narrative rather than overt messaging.

I led the project end to end - directing the film, conducting all interviews, and shaping the story through the edit. I also completed the colour grade and sound mix, delivering a cinematic but grounded final piece designed to resonate beyond the region it was made in.
